Hawk Watch at Williams Field

Sponsored by the Merrymeeting Audobon Society, John Berry will lead a Hawk Watch at Williams Field (Basin Cove/Curtis Cove Property) in South Harpswell.  The Hawk Watch will begin at the field at 8:30am on Saturday, September 18, 2010. Williams Field is 1.7 miles south of the Harpswell Post Office on Route 123.

The Harpswell Heritage Land Trust is in the midst of a campaign to purchase preserve the scenic properties fronting on Basin Cove and Curtis Cove in South Harpswell.  They contain a mix of coastal, freshwater, and upland habitat of great value to a variety of wildlife.   For maps and more information on the campaign, please see this brochure.
