The Mackerel Cove Town Lot, only .86 of a scenic acre, is used for open space and water-related commercial and recreational activities. Local fishermen use a portion of this lot for seasonal storage. There is a small parking area where fishermen keep an eye on their boats during stormy weather. A Red Cross Monument stands on this property as well as an abundance of wild roses.
